Every piece in the catalogue is one size, elasticated, open-backed or adjustable. There is no size selector at checkout because there is no size to get wrong.

Base metal and plating are written out on every jewellery page — 316L, 925 sterling, or gold-plated over brass. We say when a piece contains nickel, and we never claim a piece cannot cause a reaction.

Materials

We tell you what the metal actually is.

Plated jewellery is a thin layer of one metal over a cheaper one. That is fine — most affordable jewellery is plated — but it should be stated, not implied. Every jewellery page here names the base metal, names the plating, and says whether the piece contains nickel.

Where a piece is solid, we say so: 316L stainless steel and 925 sterling silver run all the way through, with no coating to wear off. Those are the two lines we point people towards when plated metal has caused a reaction before.

We describe materials, not outcomes. No product on this site is described as unable to cause a reaction, and simulated stones and pearls are labelled as simulated.

The technique

Four ways to tie one square.

The same 35-inch square reads four different ways depending on how it is folded. Every square ships with this card, and the full walkthrough lives in the guides.

  1. The bias band

    Fold corner to corner, then roll the triangle into a flat band. Knot once, low and to one side.

  2. The collar knot

    Keep the band short. Tie a small square knot and push it up under an open shirt collar.

  3. The shoulder wrap

    Fold into a wide triangle, drape point-down at the back, cross the ends at the front.

  4. The handle wrap

    Loop the centre under a bag handle, wind outward, and tie the ends short so they do not drag.
